Many people call themselves a Personal Trainer.
Very few of them understand truly personalised training.
I’m talking about custom-built exercise programs that are designed for YOU.
Every single rep of every single exercise optimised to bring benefits to your muscles without any detriment to your joints.
And I stress again - no f*cking burpees.
My personal training program is a hybrid in-person and online approach.
In a perfect world, I’d be with you every training session, setting up every exercise and guiding you through every rep.
In that same perfect world, I’d also be beside you at every single mealtime, making sure everything is delicious and nutritious.
I’d also be beside you on the sofa while you’re watching TV before bed and making sure you’re on track for your 8 hours’ rest.
You get the idea.
But that wouldn’t be practical (or enjoyable) for either of us.
So here’s how we do it:
We meet for your first 2 sessions where I:
OBSERVE how you move and assess which exercises suit your structure and abilities best.
TEACH you how to do those reps effectively.
PLAN how you’ll move through a gym and how these exercises fit into your program.
We start with set-up. Then we get to execution. Then we scale intensity.
I analyse and feedback brief videos of your work in the gym. You don’t have to match your training to mine, and can train at your convenience.
I’ll ensure you’re doing your exercises as well as you can, with an intensity that matches your goals.
Once we’ve squeezed all the gains out of that, we do it all again with a new program.
This is not some online coaching arrangement where I ask you a few vague questions before sending you the same “personalised template” I sent the last client in your age range.
You’ll get a customised workout plan for each week, no matter where you are or what you’re doing, so we stay on top of things and accommodate for changes in your schedule.
Weeks end on Tuesday, recommencing on Wednesdays.
You submit all technique videos, voice note or video updates and training logs by Tuesday; I review and issue the coming week’s program on Wednesday.
We’ll occasionally arrange live calls on Tuesday/Wednesday if any serious troubleshooting is required.
