Who Is Coach Benny?

Let’s address the first point. I hate blowing my own trumpet because, compared to some of the incredible mentors I have, I know disturbingly little.

And yet …

Compared to what I’ve seen out there elsewhere in the industry, there aren’t many people who understand exercise better than I do. 

(Yeah, I cringed at that too.)

I’m not a genius. I’m just the only known Personal Trainer in Asia with an RTS Mastery qualification, that I acquired through many, many hours of study and learning from some of the industry’s leading educators around the world.

I also have a 1st Class Mechanical Engineering degree, meaning I understand mechanics unusually well.

RTS is the industry’s defining education course, and the original source of anything and everything related to the field of ‘exercise mechanics’. I'm the only Global Level 2 Instructor outside of the Americas / UK.

These days, I spend my time travelling the world for RTS (hence why we’ll need to have this hybrid arrangement) educating top trainers in various countries on exercise.

As a result, I know how to assess, analyse and optimise every portion of every rep of every exercise for any client - or coach - that wants to work with me.

My expertise is focused on problem-solving. If you've got something that hurts or doesn't seem to be functioning properly, I'm sure plenty of people can tell you "why". The reality is that they're almost always guessing, and they're definitely guessing if they haven't done an MRI scan.

Being able to tell you what is causing your problem is essentially useless, it's being able to help you SOLVE it that is valuable. I've consistently sought out the clients with the problems that confound medical professionals, and found a way to help clients make progress they couldn't before.

I also spend a fair bit of time learning about some of the other stuff involved in getting a bit stronger, fitter and healthier, but they’re not my main area of expertise. If it’s exercise you’re after, I’d like to think I’m probably your man.

I don’t have some ridiculous “proprietary training methodology”. I do not have some secret sauce.

But, if my lack of a “Six Week Six-Pack Shortcut” doesn’t disappoint you, then that’s a good start.
